Cardine Field in Newport is defiantly one of the jewels of baseball fields. I played most of my high school and legion career there. Both dugouts on the first baseline, a bar down the rightfield line, and the aura of the stadium once you walk onto the field can't be beat. Standing in the outfield you feel as tho you should be dress in the old timers uni's and playing with the old school equipment. Any baseball fan who loves stadiums should visit this place if you are in Rhode Island. Brings you back to the days of old. Nice list also!!!

Cool post. If I ever visited Bosse Field, I'd have to do it alone. Otherwise I'd just annoy everyone around me by singing that song from the movie: "We are the members of the all-American team, we've come from citiiiiies near and far..."

BTW, honorable mention to Citi Field, the new Mets park. While the old Shea Stadium set the bar pretty low, it's a great place to watch a ballgame--and I'm a Yankee fan!

Never underestimate the devotion of Boston baseball fans. Every time the Red Sox make it to a series, there's a riot. Whether it's a happy or angry riot depends largely on how they do.

"Since May 15, 2003, every single game at Fenway has sold out."

Wow.

And the new Yankees Stadium has a Hard Rock? Yankee Stadium's come a long way since I lived a few blocks away in the South Bronx.
